Wood Green, The Animal's Charity
100 stands!Wood Green was a new show for 2012 and we were delighted to present it again twice in our 2013 programme.
When we launch a new show, we like to run it at least three times before we make a decision on whether or not it should join the BSSK permanent schedule. Some don't need that long - they either get off to a flying start like the Monastery at Manchester for example, where we knew from the very first show, or they present too many difficulties so again we know from the first show, but for very different reasons!
Wood Green, although a little smaller than we had hoped for the first show clearly was one that will become a full time addition to the schedule! The enthusiasm of the visitors and the amount of exhibitor enquiries generated by the very first show means it is sure to grow and grow.
The fact that all our hire fees go to help the animal re-homing charity puts the icing on the cake for us, and made us even keener to run it twice this year.
With the disappearance of the popular show promoted by Prime Impact at Chilford Hall, we feel there is an opening for another major Mind, Body & Spirit event and hope to make Wood Green it.
The centre is already well used by Antique Fairs, Craft Fairs, Wedding Fairs, Garden Shows, and the Toy and Train show, not to mention Cat and Dog shows galore, so is very well known locally. It is close to both Cambridge and Huntingdon and is very easy to find. The venue has everything we need including large hall, cafe, workshop room and ample parking. There are also the animals to visit while you take a break, so make sure you devote a whole day to this show!
The show has all the usual BSSK attractions - Zone of Tranquillity, a relaxing space to sit and reflect, the free Children's Angel Feather Hunt with a prize for every child, and the free prize draw for every paying adult. This is drawn at 4pm on the Sunday of the show - don't worry if you are not on site, we ring and notify the winner and winners are listed on the website after the show.
